World Yacht Events Hosts New York City Yacht Charters for the NYC Waterfalls Display PDF E-mail
Written by Bryan Davis

New York WaterfallsNew York is one of the World's most popular charter destinations. Not only is it home to the “City that Never Sleeps,” New York also plays host to Niagara Falls, one of North America's natural wonders. While the City has a little bit of everything for everyone, many visitors come with hopes of seeing the falls. Unfortunately, even the briefest of stops requires a full day commitment, as Niagara Falls are located approximately 400 miles (nearly 700 km) from New York City.

Those looking to visit the falls must drive seven to eight hours to the New York/ Canada border. This journey prohibits most visitors from enjoying Niagara, but a recent art installation by Olafur Eliasson will now allow visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of upstate New York while never leaving the “concrete jungle.”

Yacht Industry Demands have Fort Lauderdale City Officials Considering to Dredge the New River PDF E-mail
Written by Shannon DeFries

New River Fort LauderdaleFort Lauderdale has often been referred to as the Venice of the Americas and one of the major Yachting Capitals of the world. The South Florida Yacht Charter industry has drawn millions of dollars of revenue into the region’s economy from the creation of marine industry jobs, a world renowned boat show, and increased tourism. The yachting industry as a whole has also increased the patronage of fuel, food and supplies as well as demand for marine real estate and refit/maintenance facilities.

As the international industry has developed, Fort Lauderdale is no longer as influential a port of call as it once was and its Mecca status has become lackluster. Competing locales with heavy European influence and investment dollars such as St. Maarten, Monaco and Dubai continue to expand and thrive. Ports such as Dubai are experiencing such exponential growth that the region will soon facilitate more industry needs than Fort Lauderdale's current scope of capabilities.

Belize Yacht CharterThe Caribbean is one of the world’s most well known and frequently visited sailing and yachting locations, whether you are participating in one of the many annual races or merely enjoying the winter cruising. It is particularly inviting because of it’s year round warm climate, crystal blue waters, relaxed environment, plethora of water related activities, and hundreds of beautiful islands. While Belize is actually a Central American country, it shares many of the traits that make the Caribbean a desirable vacation spot. Most noteworthy is the Belize Barrier Reef, the second largest reef in the world. However, Belize is the only Central American country without a Pacific Coast. It has some of the best marine features in the world, but if you are looking for a Pacific cruise, look elsewhere. For those of us that prefer the Atlantic and Caribbean, there is more than enough entertainment off the coast of Belize.

CuisineFor vacationers who haven’t fully discovered the benefits between a cruise vacation and a private yacht charter , the cuisine is definitely one of the major differences. While most cruise ships host all you can eat buffets and stringent meal times often compared to a cattle call, the relaxed structure of a personalized yacht itinerary totally justifies the marginal expense differences. With a fully crewed private yacht charter, guests are able to enjoy their own personal chef who prepares exotic gourmet cuisine tailored to their guests’ tastes. Also on a crewed yacht charter, meal times and snacks in between are always flexible.

Yacht Charter Greece; a tour through the Historical Ionian Islands PDF E-mail
Written by Shannon DeFries

Ionian IslandsSailors have been coming to the Ionian Islands on the Western coast of Greece for thousands of years; around 1500BC the Myceneans arrived, followed by the Romans, the Byzantiums, the Venetians and the British. All have left their mark here. The islands were reclaimed by Greece in 1863 and remain so to this day, but traces of the islands’ fascinating history remain in both the culture and the architecture their conquerors left behind. The area has also inspired its fair share of literature: Ithaca is said to be the home of Odysseus, hero of Homer’s Odyssey whilst Kefalonia is the setting for Louis de Bernières’ novel, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
